You maybe sitting there saying to yourself and your partner (spouse), etc. Whether you are just living together, newly engaged and planning that once in a lifetime honeymoon, married with kids; or old folks like us! We are not old but feel that way sometimes LOL!
We want to get away but can we really afford it. We have a wedding to plan; planning on a house; raising kids; not enough time; not enough money, put your own concerns in.
We hear these things all the time, so don't worry we can help you with these concerns!
The biggest one is not sure we can afford to go anywhere, we are trying to save for xyz. We totally understand that ourselves, been there done that, and still doing this.
This information is for all types of travel, but we are focusing on romance. Love and expressing it, takes on many forms and observed in many ways.
Some people like holding hands, and those quiet little places to sneak away to; or they are the ones that say "I Love You" while they are zip lining over the rain forest or hiking, climbing, skiing, etc. Or you do everything while you are traveling.
These are very important to you and your partner to get away when life is crazy or before it gets crazy.
A couple of things to do before you even set up a free consultation with Nelson and myself to start planning your dream getaway.
When do you want to go? Be realistic on this, if you want to go to the Caribbean do not plan on going when in June when it is February, that is only 4 months away, and June is very high season for honeymoons and at the end of the month kids are out of school.
Start planning on 6 months or longer. Most of the time, we can find you places a year or two in advance, and if prices drop or other options become available we will advise you about this. See below for budgeting.
Where do you want to go? Just write it down, don't worry about budgets right now, just write them down, nothing is off limits. Have a few places and not just one.
Why do you want to go there? some just want to go there because it is their dream; or they have the best of this or that there; like diving; food, wineries; beaches; history. Your reasons are your reason.
For example: Many people planning a South Pacific trip like to Bora Bora or Fiji, can get similar experiences by going to Caribbean Islands like St. Lucia (which is knows as the South Pacific of the Caribbean), or Hawaii.
Look at what you can afford and be realistic in it. Remember, you have to get there, whether it is by car; plane; train; cruise ship.
Do some investigating on the destination. Nelson and I offer on our website pages for travel resources, news, travel guides, brochure racks, if you don't find it, we can advise you where to look.
We hope you will take the time to enjoy places in this world that bring love, romance and experiences in your life.
We want to hear from you. Post your comments below!
