Many people have gotten the wrong information on everything we hear in the news these days.
If our case we are referring to travel!
Whether you have heard about traveling to Mexico or Spain. From Cruising to Train Travel. Everything has a good and bad about it.
The best thing to do is your homework, when planning a trip. Rely first on your travel professionals Nelson and myself.
Per the State Department (US) here is the updated information on visiting Mexico. The State Department does not warn against Americans traveling to Mexico nor does it warn again travel to popular resort areas like Cancun, rather it further clarifies the relative safety of each state within Mexico.
Yes, we are travel agents, but we are not going to send your some place that if not safe for US Citizens to travel to, or do something illegal. If you are doing something illegal, we do not want to know about it period!!!
But if you not sure of things, then we offer you on our website our resource page at the top. We have information on our page for the US Department of State; Foreign and Commonwealth Office Travel; Center for Disease Control and Travel Notes. Other things we recommend that are not listed, is when to travel.
Meaning like right now, we have Hurricane Harvey in Texas. Hurricane Season in our country is from August through end of October, sometimes in November. (My honeymoon was in November, and we were in Puerto Rico and had a hurricane.)
Right now there is a lot of false news out there, like cruise ships being stranded and cannot get back to port. The port of Galveston is closed, many of our clients were offered and recommended prior to travel of the hurricane approaching, if you can change your dates of travel. Yes some clients had to fly out of different ports to get home, but these ships will not risk clients or their ships to cruise into the Hurricanes.
If this is the only time you have to travel, maybe try a different destination, if you don't like the hot weather, go to places that are cooler. Like South American, parts of Africa and Australia, New Zealand is also very popular now, these are in the Southern Hemisphere, and the weather is opposite of ours, or go more North like Northern Europe whether it is nice all year round not extremely hot nor extremely cold. Places like Canada (Vancouver areas) or Alaska! What about Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya. Dry and Cool in August, plus you can see the great Migration of the Wildebeest to Zebra and everything in between. It is truly the circle of life in this part of the world.
Just some ideas of where you can go, it might be more than what you thought as well. Let us help you explore your travel and what is the best place and time to visit, whether it is a cruise to the Caribbean or a bucket list to Kenya. Nelson and I can help you plan for it all.
Is traveling safe? Yes and No! That being said, you need to vigilant when you travel, keep your eyes opened and your mouth shut (this statement might sound rude or uncaring, but it is the truth) Keep you wallets and pocketbooks safe. Even here in the US, we don't keep a watchful eye on things, We have issues here in our own country. But if we are aware of our surroundings, we can become better people for it as well.
