National Federation of the Blind Applauds United Airlines for Prudent Service Animal Policy
Major air carrier?s policy on trained service animals remains unchanged
Baltimore, Maryland (February 6, 2018): The National Federation of the Blind, the nation?s oldest and largest organization of blind people, commends United Airlines for announcing that there will be no changes to its policies regarding travelers with dog guides and other service animals, as opposed to animals that may fit other categories.
Blind people have worked for decades to make sure that dog guides are trained and managed in a manner that supports the equal treatment of blind people in public places, said Mark Riccobono, President of the National Federation of the Blind. ?Every day, dog guides facilitate smooth and independent travel by the thousands of blind people who choose to use them, including my own wife. Unnecessary and burdensome notice and documentation requirements would have limited the independence of these travelers. We therefore thank United for continuing to recognize the qualifications of trained dog guides in its recently announced policy revisions, and we call on all other air carriers to adopt this same approach. We also urge United and the rest of the airline industry to engage with us to ensure that all aspects of the air travel experience, including in-flight entertainment and the use of mobile applications and websites, are accessible to blind people.?

Did you know that Travel is the only thing in life that actually gives back to us 110%. Whether it is with your family or you traveling withe a group of the same people who has the same interests in learning more about a destination.
Such as the culture of the country. Many people visit places in this world and dreamed of visiting places in this world because of the stories they have heard from family and friends; reading books, trying the food of that country and more.
Remember the US is only 225+ years old. Our background comes from the Vikings, English, Italians, the Spanish and the Dutch to this country in search of new things and people. Yes, some of the was not in a good way. But then the Germans, Jews, Asians, and Africans, and more were brought here either by be slaves or leaving their homes for a better life.
I myself have dreams of visiting the Glaciers of Alaska, Going to Spain and visiting the places that I have read about in books by Earnest Hemingway, the works of Pablo Picasso, learning the true dance of the Flamingo and eat at a Tapas Bar and drinking Sherry at the Sherry Vineyards. As well as, so many places that I have only seen on tv or read about in books.
We know that many of you would love to do the same, but if it is planned correctly and within enough time. We can all plan for these trips.
So, we are looking for those of you to travel with Nelson and myself, so we can show you the joys and beauty of travel and hopefully bring more life that gives back to all of us when we travel.

Hello everyone today is 1/12/2018 and we are doing new and exciting things this year with Echevarria Travel.
We will be bringing you weekly updated travel news in the world; hottest destinations, what services out there are important to you to know about, and so much more!
Being a travel professional (Travel Agent) is different than it was maybe 10 years ago. Now people think that industry is dead or travel agents do not exist any longer, which is totally not true.
Yes, we know you will be going on the internet to do your research. Kudos to you! That means you are serious in wanting to travel to a new place or a new experience. That being said, there is a whole lot of information out there that is wrong, that might not pertain to US Citizens traveling to those destinations. It might not go into everything you want to know about, etc. We are hear to help you with that.
Topic of conversation last night was! "How A Travel Agent Saves You Time, Energy and Money! I have posted the video below about that, and yes, I talk fast, yes I love to joke and make things fun. Travel is fun! Travel is for everyone! No matter how old or young you are because traveling improves your mind and your soul, it helps you understand others around you and show compassion, it also educates you on places you have only heard about from family that came from other places. Like myself, My great grandparent left the Ukraine and Romania for a better life here in the USA, but it doesn't show me where we come from or the beauty and hardships that they went through. Same with Nelson, his father's family came from Spain, we are still looking into that but we know it is from the Basque region of Spain called Bilbao, near the French Boarder. So much more. For those offers that I am speaking of in the video see them below.
Have a great day and come by and visit us live every Thursday evening unless otherwise noted on www.Facebook.com/cherylandmaxx. Say hello ask a question on the topic and so much more! We also ask that you tell your friends and family about it as well.

Did you know that there is a 3 Day Weekend Marathon that takes place the 1st in January every year?
Neither did we!
We are posting this to you today for 2 reasons?
1. We have clients who love to run, whether it is just to keep healthy or run in groups, etc. You get it right, of course right!
2. We are big Disney Geeks! Yes, we love traveling all over the world, but both Nelson and myself are going through our first and second childhood, plus we are romantics, and think WDW - Walt Disney World is a great place to spend that special time with your special someone. Valentines Day is coming up and wedding season. Great options for you.
So let's get back to the RunDisney Weekend. Marathon.. Below is the course for the last day which is the 26 miles through all 4 theme parks, which starts and ends at EPCOT.
This is the 25th Anniversary of the Marathon; and people from around the world, just like the New York City and the Boston Marathons; but along the route of the race, they have characters running with you and cast members, special rides and attractions (the rides and attractions for after the marathon or before) music going on during, keeping everyone motivated as they go through the finish lines.
Just to let you know that if you missed this weekend for running they have various ones throughout the year
Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend presented by Children's Miracle Network Hospitals
Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend presented by MISFIT™
In recent years they have added a new marathon for your Star Wars Fans, which happens in April, this year it is Sunday, April 20, 2018 and it is called Star Wars Half Marathon - The Dark Side.
These races are not only for those from around the world, but people who are wheelchair runners, blind runners, etc. If you are a person that walks, this is not for you. You have to be in shape to run as you know.
There are also places you can volunteer and help out during this time.
So if you are thinking of another reason to visit Walt Disney World, why not go for the Marathon.
Happy Holidays everyone, just a friendly reminder that tonight we are live on location at Epcot at Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida.
Tonight we will be coming to you live from EPCOT, we love Epcot and especially the World Showcase, We are heading over tonight for Illumination the Holiday Show, which is EPCOT's Fireworks Show, which is includes water, lights, fire and fireworks.

Should I or shouldn't I do dialysis on a cruise or even travel at all?
I get this question a lot, being that I have traveled when I was on dialysis while I was waiting for a kidney during the years of 2002-2005.
Some facts first of all. close to 700,000 people are being treated for End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) and the number 1 cause of Kidney Failure in the United States is complications from Diabetes, whether it is type 1 or type 2; especially since Diabetes effects all the systems in our bodies from our blood to our bones. I know so much because I have been type 1 (juvenile diabetic) since they discovered in me at the age of 13 years of age. Now being in my 50s, I have suffered many of the complications associated with it.
This is one of the many reasons that Nelson and I specialize in servicing all clients who want to travel, especially the ones with special requirements.
So treatment of ESRD is Dialysis, there are 2 types. 1 is HemoDialysis which is done 3 to 4 times a week; for 3 to 4 hours per treatment.
The other is Peritoneal Dialysis - A soft plastic tube (catheter) is placed in your belly by surgery. A sterile cleansing fluid is put into your belly through this catheter. After the filtering process is finished, the fluid leaves your body through the catheter.
So let's get back to the question at hand that I get asked about traveling on dialysis. Should I our shouldn't I travel on dialysis.
Here are some of our favorite destinations that we think you will enjoy doing yourself in 2018. Let us know on Facebook if you have been to any of these places, or you have another place to recommend to others as well.
Our No. 1 Favorite is Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World In Orlando, FL this kicks off every year at the Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resorts from August 25-November 1, on special nights during the week. This is a separate ticket from the regular day pass, and those that have purchased the tickets will be able to stay in the park, while those that do not have these tickets must leave.
The whole parks is lit up and scary music playing throughout the night, special fireworks, and trick or treating. The parade with the ghouls and goblins from the humorous to those costumes that look magical and fiendish to romantic, even Mickey and Minnie get into the act.
Whether you are a kid or a kid at heart, you can dress up and enjoy this event.
No. 2 - New Orleans, LA - This is the place to go if you love to dress up and have a great time in the "Big Easy". Right behind Mardi Gras, which is not only fun but spooky and supernatural town, where else can you party during a funeral or for any particular reason, or visit haunted grave yards and mansions.
No. 3 - Transylvania, Romania - I hear this all the time, especially since my great grandmother came from Bucharest back in the early 1900s. People always said to me, "Oh you are from where Dracula comes from". I say no, my family came from the Capital. I would love to go and visit myself this strange and beautiful country.
Yes, Vlad Tepes, better know as Vlad the Impaler, was written about by Bram Stoker for his book Dracula because of all the terrible things he did to the Turks to protect his people against them. Besides the Castles and the kitchy tourism there, people are very superstitious of the places. Even on my favorite show with Josh Gates, Destination Unknown, has gone there and was spooked by things in the forest there. We have added information below for visiting Romania.
No. 4 Salem, MA. - That's right home of the Witch Trials of the early 1690's, where they have an awesome festival called Festival of the Dead. In almost every culture they recognize the Day of the Dead. Like in Mexico it is called "Dia de los Muertos" and is celebrated for 3 days from October 31-November 2, 2017 this year. But in Salem, we burned people who today are called naturists or herbalists, that can cure health or try to with the assistance of a physician to treat people holistically.
We hope you enjoy some of our favorite places for Halloween Travel! What are yours? We want to hear from you. Post your comments here on on Facebook, Google, Twitter, etc.

Another location for the series, is Girona, Catalonia, Spain Braavos.
"Girona has become one of Spain’s hottest destinations since appearing in season six of Game of Thrones.
This historic walled city of cathedrals, churches, winding alleyways, and towering arches has changed little over the centuries, and proved the perfect backdrop for Braavos."
Another location that cannot be missed if you are on a journey through your favorite series.
Girona Cathedral - Sept of Baelor in Season 6, you know that many of your favorite people didn't survive, but do you know all about this famous Roman Catholic Church - Also known as Cathedral of Saint Mary of Girona. Read more from the links to find out, and explore the regions of Spain.

Offered from Wikipedia "is a royal palace in Seville, Andalusia, Spain, originally developed by Moorish Muslim kings.
The palace is renowned as one of the most beautiful in Spain, being regarded as one of the most outstanding examples of mudéjar architecture found on the Iberian Peninsula. The upper levels of the Alcázar are still used by the royal family as the official Seville residence and are administered by the Patrimonio Nacional. It is the oldest royal palace still in use in Europe, and was registered in 1987 by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, along with the Seville Cathedral and the General Archive of the Indies.
We hope you will continue to read, and explore that places you see on TV. Our world seems to be getting smaller and smaller, but it is a big blue world out there, to enjoy and not sit back and not let it go bye.
